E-Selec Driving Modes
Be in control with the Jeep 4xes E-Selec driving modes. While Electric Mode uses only battery power, eSave Mode reserves battery power for later. With Electric Mode, you can enjoy maximum torque and quiet off-roading. Hybrid Mode, which is the default setting, gives you the best of both worlds. It combines torque from both the electric motors and the 2.0L turbocharged engine. This combination offers every driver instant torque, maximum horsepower, and the best acceleration. With Hybrid Mode the vehicle's electric power is consumed first. The Jeep 4xes can run in Electric Mode until the battery reaches a 1% charge and can run in this mode for up to 21 miles.
The Jeep 4xes Planet-Friendly Power
The Jeep 4xes are incredibly capable off-roading vehicles. They have been engineered to be plant-friendly while also delivering impressive performance on any terrain. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe features an available Quadra-Trac II 4x4 System and the available Quadra-Drive II. The Quadra-Trac II 4x4 System feature includes a two-speed low transfer case. This transfer case uses sensors to determine if the tires are slipping and can use as much as 100% of the available torque to direct it to whichever axle currently has the most traction. The available Quadra-Drive II comes equipped with a rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential. This is a full-time 4x4 system that is always active. This feature gives the driver excellent all-weather capabilities and provides this vehicle with the ability to transfer up to 100% of available torque to a single rear wheel.
Electric-Powered and Protected
The 4xes have been designed to be electric-powered and protected with rocky and rough terrain in mind. The underbody of these vehicles is protected with a reinforced housing that ensures its vital components can handle rugged obstacles. The Grand Cherokee also features a water-sealed battery pack. This allows the vehicle to power through up to 24 inches of water.
