What is the Charger Daytona's All-Electric Powertrain?
There are two trim levels of the Daytona, those being the Scat Pack and R/T. Both of these models are fully-electric muscle cars, featuring a battery-operated powertrain! Specifically, you'll find a 400-volt battery pack, incorporating two electric drive modules (EDMs), one in the front and one in the rear. These EDMs provide front wheel end disconnect to the front wheels, and a mechanical limited-slip differential in the rear, optimizing both your efficiency, and your traction. Of the two trim levels, the Scat Pack is the top dog when it comes to performance. This trim level can deliver up to 670 horsepower, and accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.3 seconds! Meanwhile, the R/T delivers a respectable 496 horsepower.
What's New for the Charger Daytona?
The Dodge Charger Daytona is debuting some new and exciting features for the Dodge lineup! Many of these new features compliment your electric powertrain, enhancing your overall experience behind the wheel. First of all, there's the PowerShot button, which will add an instant boost of 40 horsepower over a 15-second period with the simple press of a button. There's also an all-new patent-pending Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system, which will create that signature muscle car "growl" that you know and love, even though you're driving a BEV! Last but not least, there are three brand-new Race Options for the Daytona, including Donut Mode, Drift Mode, and two Race Prep settings. All these new features compliment the same classic Charger silhouette, maintaining the spirit of Dodge design!
What Performance Features does the Next-Gen Charger Daytona Have?
The Dodge brand is known for its powerful, race-inspired features that elevate your driving experience above and beyond the average vehicle! The Next-Gen Charger Daytona is packed with performance features, some of which are new, and some of which are familiar! As we mentioned above, there are some new Race Options, such as Donut Mode, and Drift Mode. In addition to these, you'll also find beloved features like Line Lock, and Launch Control. The Daytona also features 16-inch Brembo vented brake rotors, red six-piston front brake calipers, and four-piston rear fixed calipers. Compared to previous models, the Charger now has a 30% increase in swept area. There's also a new tire package, the largest to date, featuring 20-inch wheels, and Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar 3 305 front/325 rear tires.
