Standard equipment for these trucks is a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine that produces 429 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. With Ram's Trailer Tow Package, the Ram 2500 can pull up to 17,540 pounds behind it, while the 3500 can haul up to 18,210 pounds. Furthermore, cargo capacities are 4,010 pounds for the 2500 and 7,680 pounds for the 3500. Both the Ram 2500 and 3500 are eligible for the 6.7L Cummins TurboDiesel inline six-cylinder engine. The last member of the Ram Commercial family is the Ram Chassis Cab. The Chassis Cab is essentially a blank canvas for workers to customize to work for them. Like the Ram Heavy Duty lineup, the Ram Chassis Cab features a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to pull up to 21,540 pounds. However, the Cummins TurboDiesel engine is also optional, delivering 360 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque for a maximum towing capacity of 35,220 pounds.
