Hook and Go
Ram is dedicated to making your towing life incredibly easy, which is why several features are available that will help you hook up your trailer and go in no time. First, there is an Air Suspension System that makes hooking up your gooseneck, fifth wheel, and conventional trailers so much easier. There is also a cargo view and backup cameras that will help assist you with perfectly lining up your hitch and trailer by showing you what's behind you via the different cameras. Finally, we need to mention the multifunction tailgate, which has 60/40 split-away doors that will allow you to access the cargo in your bed, even when a trailer is hitched to your vehicle.

For example, a 360-degree surround view camera and trailer camera prep will allow two auxiliary cameras to be positioned on or inside your trailer. Then there are the trailer's two mirrors that come with spotter lamps which are mounted on the arms and can be folded out. A reverse guidance system with a split-screen view will give you a good look at the entire set-up so that you can back up without the help of someone else guiding you. Then there is a blind spot monitoring system with rear cross-path detection and trailer detection, which will scan your blind spots behind or beside the vehicle and help ensure trailer safety when maneuvering. In addition, this system will automatically account for the length of your trailer, which is something that other trucks will require you to do manually. Finally, forward collision warning helps your Ram by placing sensors on the front of the truck to sense when the vehicle in front of you slows down. You will be alerted with visual and audio warnings.
Remain in Control While Towing a Trailer
The last thing we will mention is the other features that will help you remain in control of the massive Ram truck! There is an available trailer reverse steering control system that will simplify the trailer reversing process by allowing drivers to use the trailer steering knob, which you can find in the center stack. This will allow you to easily control the direction of your trailer as you back up. The system also controls the truck's steering wheel. In addition, because towing is not just about numbers, you will need some features to help maximize your performance. Ram provides several features to help with that, including an electronic brake controller, electronic range select, diesel exhaust brake system, and eTorque.
