COVERAGE
REPAIRS
When a failure of a covered component occurs before the expiration of this service contract, the Selling Dealer will make the repairs or reimburse YOU for the cost of parts and labor to repair or replace a covered component, less applicable deductible subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations herein. At the Administrator’s option, replacement parts used in covered repairs may include new, remanufactured, used, or non-original equipment manufactured parts. Maximum benefits payable under this agreement shall not exceed the average retail value of your vehicle as determined by the NADA Official Used Car Guide immediately prior to the breakdown. We will not pay for expenses that exceed the manufacturer’s suggested retail price or the posted hourly labor rate for the repair facility multiplied by the appropriate operation time, as published in a nationally recognized labor time guide. YOU will be responsible for paying any excess costs charged by the repair facility.
ENGINE
All internally lubricated parts including: crankshaft, rod and main bearings, camshaft, camshaft bearings, connecting rods, wrist pins, pistons, piston rings, valves and valve guides, rocker arms, push rods, cam followers, lifters, timing chain and gears, timing belt and tensioner, balance shafts and bearings, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump. Engine block, rotor housing and cylinder heads are covered only if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part.
TRANSMISSION COVERAGE
All internally lubricated parts contained within the transmission case including front pump, torque converter, governor, main shaft and counter shaft, bands, drums, gear sets, bearings, synchronizers, drive chain, vacuum modulator valve. Transmission case/housing is covered only if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part.
DRIVE AXLE
All internally lubricated parts contained within the drive axle housing including: axle shafts, constant velocity joints, drive shafts, universal joints. Drive axle housing is covered only if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part.
SUBSTITUTE TRANSPORTATION & TOWING
In the event of a breakdown of a covered component, the customer will be reimbursed for substitute transportation. Such expense shall be limited to $30 per day with a maximum of $150. The covered repair must exceed a minimum of four (4) hours labor to qualify for reimbursement. A maximum towing benefit of $50 will be allowed if it becomes necessary due to the breakdown of a covered component.
